Spice Girls Reunion Tour Is Set to Tour The U.K. and U.S.
Proof that #friendshipneverends.
This summer is going to be spicy as the girls are back. The Spice Girls has announced last week of their reunion and is now set to kick start their tour. The tour includes cities in England and the United States, as reported by TMZ.
Despite having a world tour ahead of them, it looks like fans would wannabe present on their concert tours since reports said there will not be any plans for new recordings and Vegas residency.
TMZ also revealed that the meeting last week was for “rough planning” and their “goal is a world tour which will kick off in late summer.” The released picture of the meeting was the first of them being reunited after six years.
The meeting happened last February 2. According to The Sun, the meeting transpired in London and was confirmed through the same pictures posted by Beckham, Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), and Geri Horner (Ginger Spice). Afterwards, the Spice Girls released a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight about the matter.
“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together. We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls,” the statement read.
“The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generation.”
Bunton also shared some information on her Heart FM morning show on Monday. She said: “The main thing was that we sat together and have gone, ‘Right, there’s things, there’s opportunities here, are we all in?’ So exciting things to come.”
In the past, Victoria Beckham had reservations about a Spice Girls reunion, but with the recent meeting with the band’s manager Simon Fuller, Posh Spice is “fully on board” with the reunion.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Fuller is busy on “organising the tour” while the girls are busy with “merchandising opportunities” in line with the new venture.
