Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition Announced

August 11, 2017

Fallout 4 will have another commercial release in the form of a Game of the Year edition for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC that will include all six of the Downloadable Content (DLC) namely:

  • Automatron – March 2016
  • Wasteland Workshop – April 2016
  • Far Harbor – May 2016
  • Contraptions Workshop – June 2016
  • Vault-Tec Workshop – July 2016
  • Nuka-World – August 2016

Packaged with the bundle are all the important patch and fixes issued by Bethesda to date. For consoles, the mod feature will also be available. For the PC GOTY version, Bethesda will be including the HD texture pack.

If you have been re-playing and wandering the Boston wasteland and have all the DLCs of crafting and expansion finished, there is very little motivation to get this one as it is suited for the ones who have traded or sold their Fallout 4 copy and have yet to experience the DLCs. To note, Far Harbor and Nuka-World offer new areas to explore and mark your story.

Bethesda have also announced the return of the Pip-Boy Edition that will be bundled with the GOTY edition. The Pip-Boy Edition in 2015 sold out despite multiple releases as it features a wearable Pip-Boy that they can outfit with a smartphone. However, the latest Pip-Boy edition won’t come with the original capsule container.

Fallout 4’s Game of the Year Edition is priced at $59.99 while the Pip-Boy Edition re-release will have a lower price at $99.99 compared to its original price of $119.99. Bethesda has marked a September 26, 2017 release.
