Singer Pink is Raising Her Children in a Gender Neutral Household
Recording artist Pink shared the reason why she’s raising her children in a “very label-less household.”
According to her latest interview with The Sunday People, the 38-year-old singer opens up about her life with husband, Carey Hart, and their two children, 6-year-old daughter, Willow Sage Hart, and 11-month old son, Jameson Moon Hart. She said she’s raising her children as gender neutral.
“I was in a school and the bathroom outside the kindergarten said, ‘Gender Neutral – anybody,’ and it was a drawing of many different shapes,” the “What About Us” singer shared. “I took a picture of it and I wrote, ‘Progress.’ I thought that was awesome. I love that kids are having this conversation.”
The singer said that they’re living in a “very label-less household.” Pink even shared an event wherein Willow said she wants to marry an African woman when she grows up.
“Last week, Willow told me she is going to marry an African woman,” Pink explained. “I was like, ‘Great, can you teach me how to make African food?’ And she’s like, ‘Sure, Mama. And we are going to live with you while our house is getting ready.'”

Even Pink revealed she sees herself as a pre-teen boy but is more of a mother to her children.
“I’m much more mum than I am anything else. Absolutely 100%. They are my everything. It’s the two best decisions I ever made,” she said. “Every decision I make is a choice because it affects my family.
“I do bake sales and lemonade stands. I take my kid to school and try to get there on time,” Pink added. “I’m a f***ing grown up now, it’s so weird. I’m still a 12-year-old boy.”
Meanwhile, this is not the first time the singer has talked about gender identity. Pink gave a speech about beauty ideals during her acceptance of the Video Vanguard Award at the 2017 VMAs, which mentioned her daughter’s self-image, Newsweek reported.
